Now in its 21st year, this tournament stands as a reminder of what an exceptional young man Andrew was to each one of us. In June of 2003, Andrew was a victim of a senseless act of violence, and he was taken from those who loved him. Later that year through the efforts of many family, friends and community members, the Andrew G. Attinasi Memorial Scholarship was created and funded with proceeds from a golf tournament held in his name.

As a persevering athlete and a charismatic student at Irondequoit High School, Andrew’s legacy will live on not only through laughter and memories, but through a scholarship benefiting a similar Irondequoit athlete of strong character. Over the past 20 years we have been able to raise greater than $225,000 in Andrew’s memory. Through the success and commitment of individuals and local businesses we have been able to increase our scholarship amount with each passing year.
